Sensors & Measurements Enterprises (SME) was established in 1997 by two partners .
The company is located in Lucknow ,the capital City of Uttar Pradesh and presently
operates in India through our own marketing team ,branch office at Chennai and
some agencies.
Sensors & Measurements Enterprises is an ISO 9001 certified organization for design,
manufacturing,marketing ,installation /commissioning and servicing of a wide range
of very reliable and high quality vibrating wire type geotechnical instruments ,SME
currently has over 15 employees and around 10 good vendors who regularly work
for us and help us meet our production production targets.
Within a short span of 9 years SME through its trained ,experienced and technical
background people has developed a complete range of vibrating sensors of high
reliability and performance comparable to any other manufacturer of Indian or
Foreign make. |

SME manufactures instruments with vibrating wire principle which basically works on the
principle of the resonant frequency measurement of a tensioned steel wire . The resonant
frequency of a tensioned wire is proportional to the strain or tension in the wire.
The fundamental relationship is used in different configuration to find out measurement of strain, load, force, pressure, temperature and tilt etc.
Vibrating wire technology sensors are firstly well known for its long term stability and the
second advantage over the other conventional type is the frequency output rather than
voltage as in others .It is well known taht frequencies can be transmitted over ong cable
lengths i.e. as long as 2 kilometers without any appreciable signal degradation caused
due to variation in cable resistance ,contract resistance ,leakage to ground moisture or
water penetration etc. |

SME has so far successfully executed the instrumentation work of Sardar
Sarovar Narmada Nigam ,Gujarat , Mansi Wakal Dam through Hindustan Zinc
Ltd. , Rajasthan ,The Upper Tunga Dam is in completion stage . Apart from above we succsessfully executed the work of Naptha Jhakari Power Corporation HP ,Singarany Colliery Company Ltd. CMRI ,Dhanbad ,NIRM ,KGF.
The work of Veligonda Dam Project through Gayatri Projects Hyderabad ,
L&T Ltd. for Veligonda Project and Upper Beda Damis under process as on January 2006. |
